Suspension - Rattle Noise From Rear on Bumps

Rattle Noise in Rear End Over Bumps (Replace Rear Shock Absorbers) # 05-03-09-001 - (Mar 10, 2005)

Models:
2003 Cadillac CTS

with Sport Suspension (RPO FE3)

Condition

Some customers may comment that, with four passengers in the vehicle, there is a rattle in the rear end while going over bumps.

Cause

This condition may be cause by the pumping action of the self-leveling shock absorbers.

Correction

Replace the rear shock absorber with a re-tuned service absorber.
