FUEL FILLER DOOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the fuel filler door.




2. Remove the fuel filler cap (2).
3. Remove the fuel filler cap tether (3) from the fuel filler door (1).




4. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.
5. Remove the fuel filler door (2) from the vehicle.




6. Check the condition of the fuel filler door bumpers (2). If they are damaged, they should be replaced.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. If the fuel filler door bumpers (2) are removed, install new fuel filler door bumpers (2).




2. Install the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.
3. Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).




4. Install the fuel filler cap tether (3) to the fuel filler door (1).
5. Install the fuel filler cap (2).
6. Close the fuel filler door.
7. Check the fuel filler door for acceptable gap, and finess if required.
