Lumbar Replacement - Front Seat (AL2)

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.





1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
2. Remove the seat back trim cover. Refer to Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front (Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front) .

Important: Note the location and position of the power lumbar and heated seat wiring for proper installation location.


3. Disconnect the power lumbar assembly electrical connectors (4).
4. Disconnect the heated seat connectors.




5. Remove the upper retainer clips (2) securing the power lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




6. Remove the lower retainer clips (2) securing the power lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




7. Remove the power lumbar assembly from the seat back frame.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the power lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




2. Install the lower retainer clips (2) securing the power lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




3. Install the upper retainer clips (2) securing the power lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




4. Route the power lumbar and heated seat electrical connectors through the seat cushion frame.
5. Connect the electrical connectors (4).
6. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer to Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front (Seat Back Trim Replacement - Front) .
7. Verify the operation of the power lumbar support.
8. Enable SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in SIR.
