Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
EVAPORATOR CORE REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Service and Repair
2. Remove the seal from around the heater core and the evaporator tubes.
3. Remove the upper evaporator case.
4. Remove the evaporator core.
5. Remove the evaporator case seals.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the evaporator.
IMPORTANT: If replacing the evaporator add refrigerant oil to the evaporator. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities for system capacity information.
2. Install new evaporator case seals.
3. Install the upper evaporator case.
4. Install the seal around the heater core and evaporator tubes.
5. Install the HVAC module assembly.
