The DIC warning message reference numbers are for export vehicles only.

CHANGE ENGINE OIL
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the CHANGE ENGINE OIL - 82 message in the driver information center (DIC) when the powertrain control module (PCM) determines that the engine oil life is 0 percent. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination. After the oil is changed, reset the engine oil monitor. Refer to GM Oil Life System - Resetting in Maintenance and Lubrication.

CHECK FUEL GAGE
The IPC illuminates the CHECK FUEL GAGE - 50 message in the DIC when the IPC is in the gages OFF mode and the fuel level is less than 18.9 liters (5 gallons). The message will be cleared when the IPC determines that the fuel level is at least 21.1 liters (7 gallons). The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the fuel level from the PCM.

CHECK OIL LEVEL
The IPC illuminates the CHECK OIL LEVEL - 36 message in DIC when the PCM detects low engine oil level, and the signal circuit is high. The PCM briefly monitors the engine oil level switch at predetermined intervals. IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

FUEL LEVEL LOW
The IPC illuminates the FUEL LEVEL LOW - 11 message in the DIC when the IPC determines that the fuel level is less than 11.4 liters (3 gallons). The message will be cleared when the IPC determines that the fuel level is at least 18.9 liters (5 gallons). The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the fuel level from the PCM.

ICE POSSIBLE
The IPC illuminates the ICE POSSIBLE - 13 message in the DIC when the outside air temperature drops below 2.2°C (36°F). The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the outside air temperature from the instrument panel module (IPM).

KM/H AND MPH

km/h: The IPC illuminates the km/h indicator when the IPC detects that metric units have been requested. The IPC monitors the signal circuit of the ENG/MET button of the DIC switch.

MPH: The IPC illuminates the MPH indicator when the IPC detects that English units have been requested. The IPC monitors the signal circuit of the ENG/MET button of the DIC switch.

LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE
The IPC illuminates the engine oil pressure indicator when the PCM detects low engine oil pressure, and the signal circuit is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

OIL PRESSURE LOW STOP ENGINE
The IPC illuminates the OIL PRESSURE LOW STOP ENGINE - 35 message in the DIC when the PCM detects low engine oil pressure, and the signal circuit is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

SERVICE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The IPC illuminates the SERVICE ELECTRICAL SYS - 106 message in the DIC when one of the following conditions exist:
- The dash integration module (DIM) detects a malfunction that is related to the ignition switch. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the DIM.
- There is a powertrain related code present. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

SERVICE VEHICLE SOON
The IPC illuminates the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON - 3 message in the DIC when the PCM detects certain malfunctions that are unrelated to the emission system. The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.

VEHICLE OVERSPEED
The IPC illuminates the VEHICLE OVERSPEED - 52 message in the DIC when the PCM detects that the vehicle speed is greater than 120 km/h (74.5 mph). The IPC receives a class 2 message requesting illumination from the PCM.
