Wiper Transmission Replacement (RHD)

WIPER TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT (RHD)

TOOLS REQUIRED
- J 39232Wiper Linkage Separator
- J 39529Wiper Linkage Installer

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the wiper arm and blade assemblies.




2. Remove the air inlet screen. (1).




3. Remove the transmission drive link socket from the wiper motor crank arm using the J 39232.




4. Remove the 6 bolts.

IMPORTANT: Rotate the transmission as necessary to extract from the plenum.

5. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the transmission on the vehicle with the 6 bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (70 lb in).




2. Install the transmission drive link socket to the wiper motor crank arm ball using the J 39529. Ensure that the socket is fully seated on the ball socket.




3. Install the air inlet screen (1).
4. Install the wiper arm and blade assemblies.
