Rear Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Mark the location of the hinges, upper and lower, on the door with a grease pencil.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer toRear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Panel Replacement
3. Remove the door module.
4. Remove the inside door handle. Refer toRear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the water deflector. Refer toRear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer toRear Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement) .
7. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the inner window seal. Refer toRear Side Door Window Inner Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
9. Remove the door window. Refer toRear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
11. Remove the rear door stationary window. Refer toRear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement) .
12. Remove the window regulator. Refer toRear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement
13. Remove the door frame applique. Refer toRear Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
14. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
15. Remove the front window run channel. Refer toRear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement) .
16. Remove the door latch. Refer toRear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair) .
17. Remove the outside door handle. Refer toRear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
18. Remove the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer toRear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement) .
19. Remove the door check link. Refer toRear Side Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .
20. Open the front door.




21. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
22. Remove the wiring harness retainers (1) from the door.
23. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
24. Support the door.
25. With an assistant, remove the hinge to door bolts in order to remove the door.



Installation Procedure

1. With an assistant, install the door to the vehicle.
2. Support the door.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the hinge to door bolts.

Tighten the hinge to door bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

4. Install the door check link. Refer toRear Side Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .




5. Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.
6. Install the door wiring harness retainers (1) to the door.
7. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
8. Install the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer toRear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Rear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement) .
9. Install the door latch. Refer toRear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the outside door handle. Refer toRear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the front window run channel. Refer toRear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement) .
12. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
13. Install the door frame applique. Refer toRear Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
14. Install the rear door stationary window. Refer toRear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement) .
15. Install the window regulator. Refer toRear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement
16. Install the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
17. Install the door window. Refer toRear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
18. Install the inner window seal. Refer toRear Side Door Window Inner Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
19. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer toRear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
20. Install the energy absorber pad. Refer toRear Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement (Energy Absorber Pad Replacement) .
21. Install the water deflector. Refer toRear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
22. Install the inside door handle. Refer toRear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair)
23. Install the door module.
24. Install the door trim panel. Refer toRear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Panel Replacement
25. Inspect for proper door adjustment. Refer toDoor Adjustment (Adjustments) .
26. Touch up any paint damage to the rear door hinge, fasteners, and check link with body color paint.
