3. Front Housing Disassemble
Front Housing DisassembleImportant: Do not reuse the shift shaft support bearing, discard after removal.
1. Remove the shift shaft support bearing.
2. Remove the bolt (1) securing the reverse block assembly (2). To remove the reverse block shaft, temporarily reinstall the bolt for a few threads and gently tap the shaft free from the front case.
Important: Only perform this operation if the front mainshaft bearing is to be replaced.
3. Remove the snap ring (1).
4. Heat the bearing area to 80°C (176°F) and press out the bearing (2).
