Front Seat Recliner Actuator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer toBucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the power recliner position sensor. Refer toFront Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.




4. Remove the recliner motor retaining nuts (1).
5. Slide the motor off of the shaft.



Installation Procedure

1. Slide the recliner motor on to the shaft





Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the recliner motor nuts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (88 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector.
4. Install the recliner position sensor. Refer toFront Seat Recliner Position Sensor Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
5. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer toBucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
