Rear Seat Back Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution .
1. Remove the upper trunk trim. Refer toRear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement) .
2. Remove the upper retaining nuts (1) from the rear seat back.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer toRear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .
4. Remove the center seat belt (2) and shoulder belt buckle nut (1), if equipped.
5. Place the center shoulder belt on the rear shelf panel.
6. Remove the lower seat back retaining nuts (1).
7. Pull out on the top of the rear seat back.
8. Position the rear shoulder belts to clear the rear seat back during removal.
9. Remove the rear seat back.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear seat back into the car.
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice .
2. Install the upper retaining nuts (1) to the seat back studs (2).
Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
3. Install the upper trunk trim. Refer toRear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement) .
4. Install the rear seat back retaining nuts (1).
Tighten the nut to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
Important:
* Ensure that the bolt threads and bolt holes are free of any sealer patch material.
* Ensure the seat belt buckles are properly positioned.
5. Install the center seat belt (2) and shoulder belt buckle anchor nut (1).
Tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer toRear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .
