Diagnostic System Check - Tire Pressure MonitoringTest Description
Steps 1 - 6:
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
2. The lack of communication may be caused by a partial or a total malfunction of the circuit containing the serial data. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.
3. The presence of DTCs which begin with "U" indicate some other control module is not communicating. The specified procedure will collect all the available information before tests are performed.
4. Tests for the presents of any Radio/Audio System DTCs. The Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) System uses the RFA antenna grid in the vehicles rear window to receive tire pressure sensor transmission. This antenna grid shares its connector with the AM/FM antenna grid.
5. Tests for the presence of any Keyless Entry System DTCs. the antenna module also controls the Keyless Entry System.
6. Tests if the malfunction is within the TPM System.
