Backup Lamp Switch ReplacementRemoval Procedure
Notice: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2) from the backup lamp switch (1).
2. Remove the backup lamp switch assembly.
Installation Procedure
Notice: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.
1. Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the backup lamp switch.
Tighten the switch to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
2. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2) to the backup lamp switch (1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
