Afterboil Coolant Pump Replacement

Tools Required
^ J38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Using the J38185 slide the hose clamp (1) down on the hose.





3. Disconnect the hose from the afterboil coolant pump.
4. Using J38185 slide the hose clamp (1) back on the hose.





5. Disconnect the hose from the afterboil coolant pump.





6. Disconnect the afterboil coolant pump electrical connector (2) from the afterboil coolant pump (3).
7. Remove the afterboil coolant pump bolts (1).
8. Remove the afterboil coolant pump.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the afterboil coolant pump.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the afterboil coolant pump bolts (1).
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





3. Connect the afterboil coolant pump electrical connector (2) to the afterboil coolant pump (3).





4. Connect the hose to the afterboil coolant pump.
5. Using the J38185 slide the hose clamp (1) back into the original position on the hose.





6. Connect the hose to the afterboil coolant pump.
7. Using the J38185 slide the hose clamp (1) back to the original position on the hose.
8. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
