Transmission Fluid Level Inspection





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug.
3. Remove the transmission fill plug from the transmission.





4. Check that the transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole.
5. Add Dexron-III transmission fluid, if necessary.





6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the transmission fill plug to the transmission.
Tighten the transmission fill plug to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
