Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.





3. Disconnect the ABS sensor wiring harness from the stabilizer shaft links.





4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link to stabilizer shaft retaining nuts.
5. Disconnect the stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.





6. Remove the stabilizer shaft mounting bolts (1) and brackets (2).
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators (3) from the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators (3) to the stabilizer shaft. Install the insulator to the stabilizer shaft with the slit facing rearward.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.

3. Important: Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

Install the stabilizer shaft brackets (2) and mounting bolts (1).






4. Important: Apply thread-locker 242 or equivalent to the threads of the stabilizer shaft link.

Connect the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.

5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the stabilizer shaft link retaining nuts.
^ Tighten the link nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the bracket bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).





6. Connect the ABS sensor wiring harness to the stabilizer links.
7. Install the tire and wheel.
8. Lower the vehicle.
