Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
2. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer toSeat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .
3. Remove the front seat belt assembly. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Driver or Passenger .





Important: Note the electrical wiring routing during disassembly in order to ensure proper electrical wiring routing during reassembly.


4. Disconnect and remove the remaining electrical connectors that are attached to the seat back frame.
5. Remove the heated and cooled seat module from the seat back frame. Refer to Module Replacement - Ventilation Heat and Cool - Seat Back. Module Replacement - Ventilation Heat and Cool - Seat Back




6. Remove the 4 fasteners retaining the seat back frame to the recliner.
7. Lift up on the seat back frame in order to disengage the seat back from the recliner.



Installation Procedure





1. Slide the seat back frame down into the recliner and align the fasteners holes.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 4 seat back frame fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Install the heated and cooled seat module to the seat back frame. Refer to Module Replacement - Ventilation Heat and Cool - Seat Back. Procedures
4. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .




5. Route and connect the electrical connectors to the seat back.
6. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
