Inoperative Power Window (Install Regulator)

2001-2005 Cadillac DeVille
Condition
Customers may comment that the power window is inoperative (does not go up when commanded or falls down into the door).
Cause
This condition may be caused by high ambient temperature that may cause the carrier guide to crack. Refer to the illustration above.
Correction
Replace the window regulator with motor. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door or Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door in SI.
Service stock has been purged and revised guides have been released.
