Door Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard))Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8)) .
2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement. Service and Repair
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door
4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame (Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame) .
5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Door Window Sealing Strip) .
6. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door) (Window Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door))Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8) (Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8))Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO CW2 and WC8 w/ Stationary Window) (Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO CW2 and WC8 w/ Stationary Window)) .
7. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door) (Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door))Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8) (Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8)) .
8. Remove the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
10. Remove the window run channel. Refer to Window Run Channel Replacement - Front Door (Window Channel Replacement) .
11. Remove the reveal molding. Refer to Reveal Molding Replacement - Front Door Window (Reveal Molding Replacement - Front Door Window) .
12. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
13. Remove the weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door) .
14. Remove the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Auxiliary) .
15. Remove the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary) .
16. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers from the inner door panel.
17. Pull the rubber conduit and the wiring harness out through the opening at the front of the door.
18. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers from the door shell.
19. Remove the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
20. Support the door.
21. Remove the hinge to door nuts.
22. Remove the door, with an assistant.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the hinge studplates into the door.
2. Align the door to the hinges, with an assistant.
3. Support the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the door to hinge nuts.

Tighten the door to hinge nuts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

5. Install the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
6. Route the door wiring harness into the opening at the front of the door.
7. Install the door wiring harness clips to the inner door panel.
8. Install all the retainers into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
9. Install the door wiring harness retainers to the inner door panel.
10. Install the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary) .
11. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Auxiliary) .
12. Install the weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door) .
13. Install the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
14. Install the reveal molding. Refer to Reveal Molding Replacement - Front Door Window (Reveal Molding Replacement - Front Door Window) .
15. Install the window run channel. Refer to Window Run Channel Replacement - Front Door (Window Channel Replacement) .
16. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
17. Install the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
18. Install the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door) (Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door))Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8) (Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8)) .
19. Install the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door) (Window Replacement - Front Door (Standard Door))Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8) (Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO WC2 and WC8))Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO CW2 and WC8 w/ Stationary Window) (Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO CW2 and WC8 w/ Stationary Window)) .
20. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Door Window Sealing Strip) .
21. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame (Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame) .
22. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
23. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement. Service and Repair
24. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard))Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8)) .
25. Verify proper door alignment. Refer to Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
