Lumbar Replacement - Front Seat (With RPO Code AM3)

LUMBAR REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT (WITH RPO CODE AM3)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the seat back trim.

IMPORTANT: Note the location and the position of the seat wiring for proper installation location (1).




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).




4. Remove the lower retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




5. Remove the upper retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




6. Remove the massaging lumbar assembly from the seat back frame.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the massaging lumbar assembly (1) to the seat back frame.




2. Install the lower retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar (1) to the seat back frame.




3. Install the upper retaining clips (2) securing the massaging lumbar (1) to the seat back frame.
4. Route the electrical connectors (1) through the seat cushion frame.




5. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
6. Install the seat back trim cover.
7. Ensure the massaging lumbar operates properly.
8. Enable SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in Restraint Systems.
