Courtesy Lamp Switch Replacement - Rear Quarter

COURTESY LAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the windshield pillar garnish molding.
2. Remove the center pillar garnish molding.
3. Remove the sail panel.
4. Remove the assist handle.
5. Lower the headliner in order to access the rear quarter lamp electrical connector (1).

NOTE: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

6. Carefully release the electrical connector (1) from the headliner.

IMPORTANT: The electrical connector for the rear interior lamp is glued to the headliner.
The electrical connector will need to reattached to the headliner, after repairs are completed, in order to ensure the connector does not rattle.

7. Disconnect the rear quarter lamp electrical connector (1).




8. Carefully pull on the outboard edge of the rear quarter lamp bezel in order to release the two quarter lamp bezel clips.




9. Rotate the rear quarter lamp switch (1) counter clockwise in order to release the rear quarter lamp switch from the lamp bezel (2).
10. Remove the quarter lamp switch (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the rear quarter lamp switch (1) to the rear quarter lamp bezel (2).
2. Rotate the rear quarter lamp switch (1) in order to position the rear quarter lamp switch wiring facing the outboard side of the quarter lamp switch bezel (2).
3. Install the rear quarter lamp switch button to the rear quarter lamp assembly.
4. Hook the inboard edge of the rear quarter lamp bezel (2) to the inboard edge of the headliner.
5. Align the rear quarter lamp bezel clips to the bulb fixture and snap the rear quarter lamp bezel (2) into place in order to engage the trim clips.




6. Connect the rear quarter lamp switch (2) electrical connector (1).
7. Reattach the electrical connector (1) to the headliner.

IMPORTANT: The electrical connector will need to be reattached to the headliner, after repairs are completed, in order to ensure the electrical connector does not rattle.

8. Install the assist handle.
9. Install the sail panel.
10. Install the center pillar garnish molding.
11. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding.
