Seat Replacement - Front Bucket

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution.
1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9.




2. Move the seat to the full forward position.
3. Remove the seat track fastener adjuster covers.




4. Remove the seat track fasteners.
5. Move the seat to the full rearward position.

Notice: Do NOT tilt the front seat forward because this will damage the seat storage tray.

6. Remove the front seat storage tray. Refer to Storage Tray Replacement - Front Seat (Storage Tray Replacement - Front Seat).
7. Recline the seat back fully rearward.




8. Tilt the seat forward and disengage the front mounting points from the floor.
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
10. With the aid from an assistant, remove the seat from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. With the aid from an assistant, install the seat into the vehicle
2. Engage the front seat tracks into the slots in the floor pan.




3. With seat tilted forward, connect the electrical connectors.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Lower the rear of the seat and tighten the outer anchor bolt first, then the inner anchor bolt last.

Tighten the seat anchor bolts to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).





5. Install the inner seat track adjuster trim cover.
6. Move the seat to the full rearward and upward position.
7. Install the front seat storage tray. Refer to Storage Tray Replacement - Front Seat (Storage Tray Replacement - Front Seat)
8. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9.
