Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

Surface Flatness - Block Deck 0.050 mm (0.0020 inch)
Surface Flatness - Exhaust Manifold Deck 0.220 mm (0.0087 inch)
Surface Flatness - Intake Manifold Deck 0.220 mm (0.0087 inch)





Intake Manifold bolts 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)





LEFT Camshaft Bearing Cap
Install the camshaft bearing cap bolts in sequence.
Alternately hand tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts a few turns at a time until all caps are fully seated.
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.)
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts an additional 30 degrees using the J 45059.





RIGHT Camshaft Bearing Cap
Install the camshaft bearing cap bolts in sequence.
Alternately hand tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts a few turns at a time until all caps are fully seated.
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.)
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts an additional 30 degrees using the J 45059.


Exhaust Manifold
Bolt 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
Flange Bolt 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
Nut 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

Important: DO NOT reuse the old M11 cylinder head bolts.
