Remote Start Does Not Work

REMOTE START DOES NOT WORK

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
The remote vehicle start (RVS) will not operate under the following conditions:
- The hazard switch is in the ON position.
- A current hazard switch DTC is set.
- The vehicle hood is open.
- A current hood ajar switch DTC is set.
- A current automatic transmission shift lock control system DTC is set.
- A vehicle speed signal is detected by the engine control module (ECM).
- A current vehicle DTC that illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)

TEST DESCRIPTION

Steps 1 - 9:

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. The Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle must be performed or misdiagnosis will occur.
3. The remote start enable procedure is contained in the Starting System Description and Operation.
