Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
- Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) electrical connector.
- Remove the air cleaner bolts.
- Remove the air cleaner.




- Remove the push pins (1) from the intake air baffle assembly, if necessary.




- Remove the intake air baffle assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




- If previously removed, install the intake air baffle assembly to the vehicle.




- Install the intake air baffle assembly push pins (1).




- Install the air cleaner.
- Install the air cleaner bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the air cleaner bolts to 9 N.m (78 lb in).

- Connect the MAF electrical connector.
- Install the air cleaner intake duct.
