Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Replacement - Rear

Tools Required
^ J44253 ABS Reluctor Installer

Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution in Service Precautions.

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the wheel speed sensor (2).





Important: Do not reuse the wheel speed sensor reluctor after it has been removed.

2. Remove and discard the wheel speed sensor reluctor (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Apply Loctite(R) to the inner portion of the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2).
2. Insert the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2) onto the hub assembly.
3. Install the ring (1) of the J44253 onto the wheel speed sensor reluctor.





4. Insert the J44253 (1).

Important: Turn the J44253 until it just touches the ring of the J44253.

5. Turn the J44253 (1) to thread the wheel speed sensor reluctor.
6. Install the wheel speed sensor.
