12 VOLT ACCESSORY POWER RECEPTACLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEAT

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 42059 Cigar Lighter Socket Remover

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the power receptacle fuse.
2. Remove the power receptacle socket.
3. Remove the power receptacle socket by placing one side of the T portion of the tool J 42059 into the tab window, with the other side angled towards the opposite tab window.
4. Remove the receptacle by pulling the lighter socket forward.
5. Remove the tool from the receptacle.




6. Pull the power receptacle socket (3) and power receptacle retainer/cap (2) from the seat storage tray.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the power receptacle (3).
8. Remove the power receptacle retainer (2) from the power receptacle socket (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the power receptacle retainer (1) to the seat storage tray, by pressing the retainer into the opening in the seat storage tray, until fully seated.
2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the power receptacle socket (1).
3. Align the power receptacle key to the key slot in the retainer ring.




4. Press the power receptacle into the seat storage tray until the power port socket is fully seated.
5. Install the power receptacle fuse.
