DTC B3525

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The window lockout switch is contained within the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). The DDSA contains a microprocessor which takes the signal generated by the window lockout switch and assigns a digital message to the switch signal. The DDSA sends this message via the GMLAN serial data circuit to the passenger front door module (PDM), right rear door module (RRDM), and left rear door module (LRDM). When the window lockout function is activated, the passenger door modules will not allow their associated window to operate from the associated passenger door window switch. For more detailed information concerning power window lockout operation refer to Power Windows Description and Operation.

This vehicle has DTCs which include DTC symptoms. For more information on DTC symptoms, refer to DTC Symptom Description in Vehicle DTC Information.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The DDM and the DDSA must be powered.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The DDSA detects that the window lockout switch is closed for more than 30 continuous seconds.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
- You issue a scan tool CLEAR DTCs command.
- A history DTC will clear once 40 consecutive malfunction free ignition cycles have occurred.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
