Window Adjustment - Door
Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.
Caution: Refer to Express Window Down Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Pull down the upper portion of the water deflector far enough to access the window clamp nuts. Refer to Water Deflector, Check Link Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) or Water Deflector, Check Link, Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
3. Loosen the window regulator to window clamp nuts 4 revolutions.
4. Connect the door trim panel wire connector.
Important: Start the vehicle to ensure maximum power to the window motor. This is required in order to fully seat the window for adjustment.
5. Start the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
6. Using the power window switch, raise the window to the full up position.
Tighten the window clamp nuts to 11 N.m (98 lb in).
7. Inspect for proper window operation and a tight seal.
8. Shut off the vehicle.
9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector, Check Link Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) or Water Deflector, Check Link, Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
