Exhaust Manifold Installation - Left





1. Install the left engine flywheel housing cover.





2. Install the left engine mount bracket.

3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the left engine mount bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the engine mount bracket bolts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the left engine mount.
5. Install the left engine mount upper nut.
^ Tighten the engine mount upper nut to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).





6. Install the left exhaust manifold studs to the left cylinder head.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold studs to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).





7. Install the NEW left exhaust manifold gasket.





8. Install the left exhaust manifold.
9. Loosely install the left exhaust manifold bolts to the left cylinder head.

Left:

10. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts and nuts in the sequence shown.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts and nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





11. Install the left exhaust manifold heat shield.
12. Install the left exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
