Intake Manifold Assemble
Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





1. Install the fuel injector rail.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the fuel injector rail bolts.
^ Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





1. Install the sight shield grommet.





2. Install the sight shield ball studs.
^ Tighten the sight shield ball studs to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





3. Install the communicator valve.
4. Install the communicator valve bolts.
^ Tighten the communicator valve bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





5. Install the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor.
6. Install the BARO sensor bolt.
^ Tighten the BARO sensor bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





7. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.
8. Install the throttle body.
9. Install the throttle body bolts.
^ Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





1. Important: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.





2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.





3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.
^ Tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
