Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tires and wheels.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft upper retaining nuts.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets mounting bolts.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator from the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator to the stabilizer shaft with the slit facing forwards.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.
3. Important: Loosely install all components before tightening.
Install the stabilizer shaft brackets and mounting bolts.
4. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft.
5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the stabilizer shaft links to the stabilizer shaft retaining nuts.
^ Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the stabilizer shaft links nuts to 66 Nm (49 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the tire and wheel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
