Folding Top Front Panel Support with Bumper Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Partially cycle the folding top to open, so that the roof panels are stowed in the rear compartment, and the folding top front closeout panel and the rear compartment lid are in the up position.
2. Ensure that the front roof panel is unlatched in the stowed position.
3. Lift and support the front corner of the roof panel for access to the front panel support.




4. Using a flat-bladed tool, remove the clip (1) from the support. Discard the clip.




5. Remove the screw (1) from the support.




6. Remove the support from the vehicle.

Important: Do not remove the pin retaining the rear compartment lid link.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the support to the vehicle.




2. Loosely install the screw (1) to the support.
3. Push the front support bumper downward to the full down position.
4. Tighten the screw until fully seated.

Important: Do not overtighten the screw.




5. Install the new clip to the support pin.
6. Cycle the folding top closed. Refer to Closing the Folding Top.
