Power Steering Reservoir Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement

Power Steering Reservoir Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (LP1, LY7)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
3. Remove the front air deflector.
4. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.




5. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering cooler pipe.
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid reservoir.
Remove the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering fluid reservoir.




2. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering cooler pipe.
3. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
4. Install the front air deflector.
5. Install the air cleaner intake duct.
6. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
7. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
