Shock Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.




3. Remove the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
4. Disconnect the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.




5. Remove the shock module lower mounting bolts (1).
6. Lower the vehicle.




7. Remove the air conditioning line retaining nut from the shock tower.
8. Position the air conditioning line bracket a side.




9. Remove the shock module upper mounting bolts.
10. Remove the shock module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the shock module to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the shock module upper mounting bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 112 N.m (83 lb ft).




3. Position the air conditioning line bracket to the stud.
4. Install the air conditioning line retaining nut to stud.

Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Raise the vehicle.




6. Install the shock module lower mounting bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




7. Connect the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle.
8. Install the upper control arm to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.

Tighten the bolt to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

9. Install the tire and wheel.
10. Lower the vehicle.
