Circuit/System Testing

With OnStar(R)
1. Verify the OnStar(R) voice recognition is operating normally.

• If the OnStar(R) voice recognition is inoperative, refer to Voice Recognition Inoperative. Voice Recognition Inoperative

• If the OnStar(R) voice recognition operates normally, test voice recognition audio and low reference circuits for an open, short to ground or a short to power. If all circuits test normal replace the radio.

Without OnStar(R)
1. Test or repair short to power, short to ground or open in the cellular telephone microphone signal circuit and drain wire.

• If all circuits test normal replace the inside rearview mirror.
