Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
The door lock status indicator illuminates when the lock system is in a virtual state lock. The door control module controls the door lock status indicator. The door control module provides power and ground to the indicator to illuminate when the lock system is in a virtual state of lock. The indicator(s) only illuminates for approximately 5 seconds after a lock switch activation or a door handle has been operated and the door control modules are in a virtual state of lock. When the door is open, the door lock status indicator cycles between On/Off. The remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) receives RFA transmissions and communicates with the door control module for lock and unlock commands.
Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition ON, scan tool installed and open the door with the inoperative door lock status indicator. Verify that the Lock Switch Indicator Command parameter does not cycle between On/Off.
• If not, test the inoperative door lock status indicator supply voltage circuit and the ground circuit for a short to voltage, a short to ground and an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the door lock status indicator.
2. If all circuits tests normal, replace the appropriate door control module.
