5. Drive Belt Removal



Drive Belt Removal

Tools Required

EN-47913 Serpentine Belt Tool

Outer Drive Belt - Supercharger




1. Remove any fluid from the power steering reservoir into an appropriate container for disposal.
2. Remove the power steering reservoir hose.




3. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket nuts.




4. Remove the power steering reservoir.




5. Insert the EN-47913 or a 1/2-inch drive breaker bar into the outer drive belt tensioner.
6. Push down on the EN-47913 or the breaker bar clockwise to release the tension.
7. Remove the outer drive belt from the supercharger pulley.
8. Slowly return the outer drive belt tensioner to the original position.




9. Remove the outer drive belt.

Center Drive Belt - A/C Compressor, Water Pump and Power Steering Pump




1. Insert the EN-47913 or a 1/2-inch drive breaker bar into the center drive belt tensioner.
2. Push down on the EN-47913 or the breaker bar clockwise to release the tension.
3. Remove the center drive belt from the power steering pump pulley.
4. Slowly return the center drive belt tensioner to the original position.




5. Remove the center drive belt.

Inner Drive Belt - Generator




1. Insert the EN-47913 or a 1/2-inch drive breaker bar into the inner drive belt tensioner.
2. Push down on the EN-47913 or the breaker bar clockwise to release the tension.
3. Remove the inner drive belt from the generator pulley.
4. Slowly return the inner drive belt tensioner to the original position.




5. Remove the inner drive belt.
