Cylinder Head Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the following subassemblies:

* The left exhaust manifold.
* The water crossover
* The intake manifold
* The left secondary camshaft drive chain
* The left camshafts

2. Remove the power steering reservoir return hose retaining bolts from the cylinder head.




3. Remove the left cylinder head. Make sure that no dowel guide pins are stuck in the cylinder head.
4. Disassemble the left cylinder head.
5. Clean and inspect the cylinder head.
6. Assemble the left cylinder head.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the left cylinder head.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the power steering reservoir and return hose retaining bolts to the cylinder head.

Tighten the power steering reservoir and return hose retaining bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the following subassemblies:

* The left camshafts
* The left secondary camshaft drive chain
* The intake manifold
* The water crossover
* The left exhaust manifold
