Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair



Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the right front fascia closeout panel.




3. Disconnect the auxiliary lower transmission line to the auxiliary transmission oil cooler (TOC).
4. Remove the lower TOC line from the auxiliary TOC.




5. Disconnect the radiator to auxiliary TOC line from the auxiliary TOC.
6. Remove the radiator to TOC line from the auxiliary TOC.




7. Remove the auxiliary TOC retaining bolts.
8. Remove the auxiliary TOC from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the auxiliary TOC to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the auxiliary TOC retaining bolts.




3. Install the radiator to TOC line to the auxiliary TOC.
4. Connect the radiator to TOC line to the auxiliary TOC.




5. Install the lower TOC line to the auxiliary TOC.
6. Connect the lower TOC line to the auxiliary TOC.
7. Install the right front fascia closeout panel.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Fill the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Fill Procedure.
