Circuit Description

The circuitry is internal to the navigation radio.

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC B2465 Navigation Compact Disk Player - Data Error

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The navigation radio detects a power mode transition to awake with a proper map DVD installed or when a CD is inserted.
* DTC B2465 does not set if DTC B1328 or B1327 is current.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The navigation radio has determined that the incorrect CD has been inserted.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* No map appears on the display.
* PLEASE INSERT MAP DVD message appears on the display.
* The navigation buttons do not function.
* This failure has no effect outside the navigation system.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

A current DTC clears when the navigation radio detects a navigation DVD.

Test Description

Step 1 - Step 4:

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
1. Determines if the malfunction is present.
2. Determines if the malfunction was due to no map DVD in the navigation radio DVD player.
