REAR COMPARTMENT LID LATCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Pull back the rear compartment center carpet.




3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the latch (2).
4. Disconnect the manual release cable (4) from the latch (2).
5. Remove the rear fascia.
6. Mark the location of the latch (2) to aid in installation.
7. Remove the nuts (3) attaching the latch (2) to the rear compartment panel.
8. Remove the latch (2) from the rear compartment panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the latch (2) to the rear compartment panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the nuts (3) attaching the latch (2) to the rear compartment panel.

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the manual release cable (4) to the latch (2).
4. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the latch (2).
5. Install the rear fascia.
6. Re-position the rear center compartment carpet.
7. Close the rear compartment.
