Front Crossmember Bolt Replacement


Removal Procedure





1.Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

2.Use hand tools to remove the nut from the bolt that you are replacing.

3.Lower the vehicle.

4.Open the hood.





5.Use snap ring pliers to remove the spring clip.

6.Remove the bolt.

Installation Procedure





Important:Verify that you have selected a bolt of the proper length.

1.Install the crossmember bolt.

2.Use snap ring pliers to install the spring clip.





3.Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .

4.Install a new nut to the crossmember bolt and tighten the nut with hand tools.

TightenTighten the nut to 110 N �m (81 lb ft).

5.Lower the vehicle.
