Front Seat Back Frame Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat assembly.
2. Remove the seat back cushion.
3. Remove the hook and loop at the end of the seat cushion cover.
4. Remove the seat belt buckle pretensioner.
5. Disconnect the wire harness retainers from the seat back.




6. Remove the hinge nuts and bolts.




7. Remove the seat back frame from the lower seat assembly.




8. Transfer the seat speakers as required. Refer to Driver Seat Speaker Replacement or to Passenger Seat Speaker Replacement.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat back frame to the lower seat assembly.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Important: Use a treat locking compound on the hinge bolts.

2. Install the hinge bolts and nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Connect the wire harness retainers to the seat back.
4. Install the seat belt buckle pretensioner.
5. Install the hook and loop at the end of the seat cushion cover.
6. Install the seat back cushion.
7. Install the seat assembly.
