- Switched 14 Volt Performance Short to Ground
Circuit/System Description
When the navigation radio is on, a discrete 12-volt signal is supplied on the remote enable circuit to the Color Display Module and Color Display Actuator. This signal is used to control the power state of the module, which is now in the active state.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The following are conditions that must be present in order for the navigation radio to enable diagnostics:
* The ignition must be in the RUN or ACC position.
* The system voltage is at least 9.5 volts and no more than 15.5 volts.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The navigation radio detects a short to ground on the remote enable circuit.
* All the above conditions are present for greater than 250 mS.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The Color Display Module or Display Module Actuator is inoperative.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The conditions for setting the DTC are no longer present on the remote enable circuit.
* A history DTC clears after 50 malfunction-free ignition cycles.
Diagnostic Aids
* This DTC may be stored as a history DTC without affecting the operation of the module.
* If stored only as a history DTC and not retrieved as a current DTC, do not replace the module.
