Condition
Some customers may comment on a loss of front seat lumbar memory. Technicians may also find DTCs B1850, B1860 and B2105 set.
Cause
This condition may be caused by memory wiring pinned incorrectly, causing the lumbar memory function to become inoperative. However, the lumbar function will work as intended.
Correction
Technicians are to inspect and place the correct wire in the correct cavity location for the lumbar motor connector as described in the procedure below.
Important:
DO NOT replace the memory seat module or any other seat components.
1. Remove the back panel from the driver front seat. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel in SI.
2. Check for proper wire orientation of the lumbar motor electrical connector with the connector disconnected. Hold the connector with the white terminal lock (TPA) toward you and the wires coming from the bottom. The Table above shows the correct orientation.
3. If the wire orientation is incorrect, remove the terminal lock and re-pin the terminals to the correct location.
