Transmission Case Assemble


Tools Required
* DT-47722 Shift Rail Bushing Remover and Installer
* DT-47725 Extension Housing Bearing Cup Installer
* DT-47726 Countershaft Rear Bearing Installer



Rear Case Assemble






Important: Ensure that the rear case housing installation surfaces are free of dirt and sealant.


1. Apply gear oil to bearing. Use DT-47726 to install bearing (138).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the bearing retainer (21) and bolt (38).

Tighten the bolt to 11.3 N.m (100 lb in).

3. Install the gasket (29).




4. Install the oil trough (17).




5. Using DT-47722 , install the bearing (25) in the rear case.




6. Using DT-47725 , install the tapered bearing race (139).



Middle Case Assemble





Using DT-47722 , install the bearing (8) in the middle case.
