Sunroof Wiring Harness Replacement
Removal Procedure
Important: It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do the steps in headliner replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access.
1. Lower the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the sunroof control module. Refer to Sunroof Control Module Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the tape (5) securing the electrical harness to the sunroof motor/actuator (4).
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 3) at the sunroof motor/actuator.
5. Cut the tie straps securing the electrical harness to the drive cable tube.
Notice: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.
6. Disconnect the electrical harness from the rear sunroof drain hose retainers.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector at the main body electrical harness at the rear edge of the rear shelf panel.
8. Remove the electrical harness from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the electrical connector to the main body electrical harness at the rear shelf panel.
2. Secure the electrical harness to the clips on the rear drain hose.
3. Connect the electrical connectors (1, 3) to the sunroof motor/actuator (4).
4. Secure the harness to the sunroof motor/actuator with new electrical tape (5).
5. Connect the electrical connectors to the sunroof control module.
6. Install the control module to the sunroof module assembly.
7. Ensure the locking tabs are secure.
8. Secure the electrical harness to the drive cable tube with 2 new tie wrap.
9. Verify the operation of the sunroof.
10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
