Creak/Rattle Noise From Right Hand Side of Root/Headliner (Apply Adhesive)

Models:
2008 Cadillac DTS

Condition

Some customers may comment on a creak or rattle noise from the right side headliner, just above their head.

Cause # 1

The noise may be caused by a lack of sealer between the sunroof module support strut and the upper body.

Cause # 2

This noise may be caused by the antenna coax cable rattling against the headliner.

Correction # 1





Apply windshield urethane to the lower face of the sunroof support strut. Apply enough sealer to connect the support strut to the body.

Correction # 2

Fasten the coax cable to the headliner using hot melt glue.
