Blower Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.




4. Disconnect the blower motor processor electrical connector.




5. Remove the screws (1) that retain the blower motor.
6. Remove the air inlet housing bolts to gain clearance for the blower motor.




7. Remove the blower motor.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the blower motor.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the blower motor screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

3. Install the air inlet housing bolts.

Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





4. Connect the blower motor processor electrical connector.




5. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
6. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair) .
