DTC Descriptor
DTC B3542
- Left Front/Driver Window Obstruction Sensor Control Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) check for hall sensor pulses of their respective window motors at least once every 50 milliseconds. When the DDM or PDM detects no hall sensor pulses in the window motor, a DTC is set.
Conditions for Running the DTC
Battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The DDM or PDM detects no hall sensor pulses from the power window motor.
* A RAM memory check error has been detected.
* A window lifter motor error has been detected.
* Under/overrun of position counter detected.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
No window express modes are possible.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
* You issue a scan tool CLEAR DTCs command.
